gotcha. to each his own i guess. i love those years as well, i just can't compare them to the early years from a musical standpoint. imo jerry's solos after the hiatus are much less inspired and creative then they were early on. we all hear things slightly differently though. i'm glad there's folks who prefer the later years.

the '60s are pretty damn melt-your-face-off too by the way.

I absolutely love early Dead ('65-early '73), don't get me wrong, I've just been diggin the late '70's recently. Keep up the good posts, I like your show recs. and I agree with you, De Niro is the better actor...

good to know! what can i say, i love people named bob.

it's nice that you can appreciate all the eras like that. i do as well, but i can only listen to so much later-era dead before i start craving the early stuff.
